Are these the end of days or penalties for wretched ways?

This is the question on a lot of minds are we in for more natural and phenominal disasters of unprecedented proportions or is it a case of paying the piper his dues. Not all would agree that of late mankind has failed miserably in trying to find answers to imbalances and destruction that we ourselves have been guilty of causing, as opposed to covering up the true nature of things with the perfect political and administrative responses, my advice to that is "STOP PUTTING LIMITS TO THE CREATOR", of course you may have a different opinion. What do you say?

A Perception of Deception

It has been alarmingly noted the younger generation of today lack what is term by our parents and foreparents as common knowledge or lack of common sense and reasoning , this is only due to the fact that many perceive evil to be good or wrong to be right. Now I know this may not appeal to some sects of my audience but I assure you I am not attempting to get at anyone in any way it is just a matter of understanding the facts that are out there. Now the caption of this article revolves around this simple example although many more can be noted, to the general populace I ask this “ what is the difference between a bikini and a panty and bra?” I was left astonished by merely asking that question to a group of students who some how felt they were more comfortable showing their blessings in one way but not the other. Why does a woman shun at the sight of man and try to cover herself, if he inadvertently walks in and sees her in her undergarments, but yet she would blatantly and proudly display herself in a bikini in public and not feel the slightest inclination of guilt or doubt in her mind that she is exposed the same way and moreso somewhat unnecessarily? Before you bite my head off consider this, I am not against a woman doing what she has to do to feel or look attractive but consider at this time, that how you think or yourself sometimes reflect in your actions and thus others may develop a perception of an unsavory or unsatisfactory nature toward what they see and thus their thoughts become their words and then evolves into their actions.

Are we imprisoned by our own process of thinking?

Such is the question that many skeptics ask and cynics fear to embrace to investigate, but just to leave you with a quote from James Allen - all that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts. In a justly ordered universe, where loss of equipoise would mean total destruction, individual responsibility must be absolute.
Is this a fact or mere ramblings, you be the judge.

A rich history for a poor nation

So for most of us in the modern world, some of us in the western Diasporas and a few in the east, we pay respect and homage to our brothers and sisters of African ancestry or more so ascendancy in this month that is designated so proudly to them by the world superpower, but I ask just this one question, “why do they get the second month of this our popular Gregorian calendar and not the first month instead?”. I say this because it is only fair according to history that it was due to the hard labour which was and still is imposed on the people that this period is designated for, caused many empires from the times of extreme ancient civilizations to present day, to thrive and prosper so bountifully.
But what do we know of nation of the so called afro – whoever, what is his origin, is it only found in the text of the historical canonicals that have invaded the educational system of the world in this present era that teaches the doctrines of the slave trade and the horrors experienced by those that made it possible or does this history go back much further than that of which is only known to us? We of this modern era do owe the people of this nation gratitude for many reasons, their inventions and ideas that were bought over and sold to the highest bidder in some cases due to the lack of funding, financial incapacitation or the true misrepresented heritage because of the inheritance bankruptcy through the four hundred job (Juggling Of Bails or Bundles of cane/cotton) which they never applied for, entertainers, medical magician (doctors), educators, great and powerful rulers both past and present, names of these great people of a great nation I will not mention for we all know who they are, the music that we all enjoy, that soothing rhythm that the drums of their heritage produce, their thunderous melodies representing the power of a nation, fallen but still strong and indestructible, the class of the way of dress, the various dialects throughout the nation, unmatched is the essence of the so called black man. He has the spirit of perseverance, resilience and determination unlike any other, moreover he is the most peculiar and unpredictable nation. It’s quite ironic that back then they met all requirements for the job but now most don’t.
But many may ask is that it? To that I say no but offer you this suggestion to verify what I said before for this was also through in depth research and referrals, take a look into that history book we all called the bible, and let us really open our minds to the facts and not close our ears nor eyes to reality. The part where I am suggesting you take a look at is found in Deuteronomy 28, now you don’t have to take my word for it, but if you do consider this after reading which other nation has been treated like that, and does the world realize it, more so how should they be treated in this era by the people of this time. I can go on to say more, but hey it’s only a blog.

History in the modern world

For most of us we can probably comprehend the concept of the title but for some, let’s just say that history always has a way of coming back, some call it “karma” yea that’s right, while others call it retribution. Both interpretations can be relevant especially in the light of recent happenings that started a while ago with the change in weather patterns, a stream of ailments that have no standard cure and last but not least natural disaster of unprecedented proportions. Now it may seem hard to link history with these modern day marvels, but if one should read the most popular history book which we call the Holy Bible and try to understand instead of just cramming verses and scriptures we would see that Pharaoh of then is no different than the governments from today. Before you kindle your words to rebuke my article research and see what EGYPT was like unto back in those days, now the superpowers that be of this day listened not to the warnings of simple men of our time just as Moses warned Pharaoh that if we continue in the same vein as like unto that of our predecessors , squandering resources, bending laws of nature making laws to suit and fulfill our own greed disregarding the natural order of things and doing as we want instead of what we ought to, these things would eventuate and become reality instead of just predictions on paper, based on research and findings. Now many may argue to say that those times were different to these now, but on the other hand many would disagree, the injustice meted out to the people under captivity then differs not from those meted out to us in today’s societies, it‘s just a case of same game different players and different arenas, but the rules remain the same. How long will the governments of today deceive themselves to think that they can always come up with legislations and policies to combat the inevitable e.g. we call summits and meetings of heads of state to talk on emission cuts and a greenhouse gases same as in the case of our old pal Pharaoh who called the magicians to deal with the problems of frogs, instead of getting rid of the problem the made more frogs to show they too can do it, foolish wasn’t it? So in the same vein you fly across continents and add more carbon monoxide then sit and talk about cutting its emissions, and deliberate on several things yet still no common ground can be reached, maybe it’s because no one wants to bend to do the right but industrialization and modernization keeps us doing wrong (how wise are we to do evil and foolish to hearken unto good) , I wonder do such acts have anything in common, you tell me. But if you choose inquire, feel free to look it up for yourselves and whilst you’re at it make some reference to the book of EZEKIEL Chapter 20. But hey you don’t have to take my word for it.

Do we possess the capacity to be humane or cruel beyond reproach?

As some of our readers have so boldly foreseen the anguish to come in the scenes broadcasted in the news in all forms, it is with disgust, anguish and abhorrence that most of us may view the scenes of how persons make decisions on life and death in ways that most of us will cringe at the mere thought or get annoyed at the utterance of such suggestions, don't get me wrong I am not only making reference to the current situation in the disaster ravaged island of Haiti, but also in our own societies and countries. Now to just highlight a bit of the present situation, the scenes shown in Haiti of aid relief in all aspects leaves much to be desired, we are grateful that at least after all their lodging in the sticks (logistics) planning and preparation someone had testicular fortitude to step up and just do instead of talking, but the name or names of those unsung heroes will never be listed in the annals of history that will follow all this moreso the greed of some sects of humanity will want to cash in on the plight of our family in Haiti, nonetheless the manner in which it was done was totally chaotic, throwing food from a relief helicopter to people that are already grief stricken, hungry, homeless, tired, depressed and distressed , trying to come to grip with the reality of this harshness that only they know they will have to endure when the smoke clears, it tells me that some persons have no value nor respect for the conditions or circumstances of those in need. Regardless of how much problems they say they are trying to avert it clearly shows that all that's happening is a recurrence of former actions towards empoverished and poor societies even in their best of times. What will prevent this situation from becoming one of those that resembles that of African territories, will this country be left in a state where its people will fight among themselves for a morsel? What do you think will come after that?

Religion, Thought, Westernization

All Caribbean people should take a serious review to the outlandish accusation of Haiti's suffering being caused by an act of demonic pact made with the devil, since they practice the faith of voodoo and several other non-traditional faiths. I say this at a time even though disaster has struck, we as people of Caribbean where most of us possess African (eastern) heritage within the blood that pluses through our veins, should ponder and analyze what does the "civilized" world think of us?
Really to have such a degree of wide spread ignorance, that a pact of a country's "freedom" was made with Lucifer himself. Do not get me wrong I strongly believe in the presence of a spiritual realm, where the beings can traverse between our dimension and theirs. However this situation that has unfolded before the eyes glued to their HD TVs and internet streams, especially those of the African descent diaspora could possible assume if we followed the cultures of our forefathers, how would the "right thinking portion" of the world see us. Note remember voodoo is an actual faith, the principle of the it has been warped over the years using it's negative aspects, like most non-Christian based faiths, to do damage and turn the world against our fellow man. Our fellow Caribbean brothers and sisters, who sought freedom just like us, whose blood and tears fertilized the soil of their present, and their future, who just like us struggle against the negative they receive more so over because their faith, beliefs and cultures were initially different.
How can we allow this plague of out right ignorance to spread without speaking out, not just to say we object but we object to such a labeling of our own.

Reality of Haiti, Beyond the Disaster

The images of disaster at our door step via the new age media of CNN, BBC etc. of the Haiti earthquake. One must ponder the truth behind the nature of such an event. Where a country does not have the capacity to muster support for itself in its greatest time of need. Chaos, mistrust, and blatant ignorance are allowed to fester like pus in an infected sore . Pre-disaster and post disaster, the exploitation of its people, not only by the very men who empowered to build their society and the people exist within it, but also by those responsible for its current state of absolute pandemonium. Sure now is an opportunity of "redemption" for those who have brought political fever to Haiti.

Redemption does not necessarily grant forgiveness, however "forgive and forget", my take on the other hand is forgive and never forget, learn from the lesson. Do not repeat the errors of history, unfortunately political reality is short sighted, selfish and highly inconsistent to the genuine nature of what is should be and hence; history will repeat itself. Those who control the chess pieces will continue to exploit their own. Unless a positive external stimulus is applied to either remove them with someone who will effectively do the the task at hand, bring enlightenment to its populace so they can remove the parasite they endowed with the privilege to lead, or do both. The final option in my honest opinion is the best the society learns and is empowered, and a leader with a handle on direction with a purpose, comes to fruition. Never again will a situation of deep contemplation can equate to masturbation. The more intense talk we do about a issue, the more we believe that we've actually achieved our goal or done something to remedy it.

Hard crimes in Hard times.

It is hard to imagine at times why it is, that acceptance of truth and fact is one of the hardest task for mankind to adapt to, yet still we often revel in the construction of nefarious plans for self sustenance whilst at the expense of those we plunder as we ascend the ladders of social instability, political madness and an ever growing plague of financial frustration of the less fortunate stakeholders involved.
Have we truly achieved this perceived level of social greatness that has been advertised and injected into our psyche from the days of early schooling to our present time of modern slavery? Yes you read right “modern slavery”, it is the only applicable term to describe a system where people work for hours on end throughout the day to be paid something called a living wage. Is it even sane to put those two words together without feeling some sort of guilt?
But please don’t perceive me as any sort of anti- government individual, I do believe in the rule of law but how far you take that rule is up to that power that lies in the hands of those that behold same. I am not a learned person when it comes to the study of political criminology a.k.a. legislative procedures, but I do however believe that truth is verifiable as well as identifiable, but hey, you don’t have to take my word for it. For some readers who may be religiously inclined and may have a different view, I ask you this, when the book of Deuteronomy chapter 25 – 30 speak of blessings and curses, the question I ask is have we been liberated or still under siege? What do we do now?

This guy should get an award !

I am not one to usually take joy in basking in euphoria while it is at the expense of another person's misery, however i am of the opinion that this pastor either really had an awakening as opposed to some that are blinded to the truth and are just occupying space on the the earth and consuming our already limited resources for no good reason to humanity except that of their own selfish desires, but hey who am i to be judgemental?
I guess this guy said one too many prayers, too bad he probably lost his spot as the number one nominee for the keys to the city.....this is a true story, it occurred prior to the start of a senate sitting, just had to share this with you.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask
your forgiveness and to seek your direction and
guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those
who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we
have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed
our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it
the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it
welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it
choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it
justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our
children and called it building self esteem..
We have abused power and called it
politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions
and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and
pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values
of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts
today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

p.s. does anyone want him available for the next parliament.
